Method: Spray the Martini Bitter on the ice in the wine glass. Shake the gin with cold Earl grey tea and Martini rubino, pour into the glass and top with tonic water. Bend an orange peel over the drink. Add two slices of dried orange and two raspberries.
Pairing: "La Belle Epoque" is a reference to a historical period from which the famous Americano and Negroni Cocktails have been invented. But the question I ask you today, is : Do I make reference to this period ? Or do I reinvent it ? You will discover the answer by siping my cocktail. I would pair this cocktail with an antipasti made with typical italian products: one slice of olive oil toast, one slice of mozzarella di buffala, one slice of Parma ham, dice of tomatoe flavored with basil and "Limone di Siracusa" juice, and a parmesan crisp. All this would be formed with a pastry-cutter, so that you can savour all the flavours in one bite. The sweet taste of tomato and the acidity of lemon will oppose the bitter taste of the drink.
